<p><strong>Ready to enroll? </strong><a href="https://ess.kingcounty.gov/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Log in to PeopleSoft</a> from your work computer or personal device between Nov. 1–15 and select the Open Enrollment tile. For assistance with PeopleSoft, contact King County Information Technology (KCIT) at 206-263-4357.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>If you take no action during Open Enrollment</strong>&#8230; &nbsp;</p>

<li>A <a href="https://kc1.sharepoint.com/sites/DHR-Intranet/SitePages/Benefits,-Payroll-and-Retirement-BenefitsAccessFee.aspx" data-type="link" data-id="https://kc1.sharepoint.com/sites/DHR-Intranet/SitePages/Benefits,-Payroll-and-Retirement-BenefitsAccessFee.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Spouse Benefit Access Fee</a> will be automatically applied if you cover your spouse or state-registered domestic partner on your medical plan. <strong>To qualify for an exemption, you must confirm eligibility each year during Open Enrollment</strong>. </li>
</ul>

<li>You will not be enrolled in a <a href="https://kc1.sharepoint.com/sites/DHR-Intranet/SitePages/Flexible-Spending-Accounts.aspx" data-type="link" data-id="https://kc1.sharepoint.com/sites/DHR-Intranet/SitePages/Flexible-Spending-Accounts.aspx" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Flexible Spending Account</a> (FSA). Health Care and Dependent Day Care FSAs can reduce your taxable income, but <strong>you must re-enroll each year during Open Enrollment</strong>. </li>

<p>When you’re ready to make your selections and enroll in your 2025 benefits, <a href="https://ess.kingcounty.gov/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">log in to PeopleSoft</a> between Nov. 1-15 to do so. <strong>If you don’t take any action during this period</strong>, you will remain enrolled in your existing current medical plan and benefits choices from 2024, <strong>except </strong>for any Flexible Spending Account, which requires annual sign-up.
